Welcome to the Manhattan Weather Channel. We are a
community organization that was formed to

keep you up to date with current weather, watches and

warnings specifically for our area. MWC is part of the

National Weather Service (WRN) Weather Ready Nation

program. We work with the NWS to help get information

out to our communities in the event of severe weather,

so people can be prepared.

 

We also share our weather data and report information to

the NWS.

Our forecasts are tailored to the Manhattan, Elwood,

but will also include New Lenox, Frankfort, Joliet, Mokena,
Lockport, Homer Glen, Wilton Center, Peotone, Manteno and
Will County in general and can pin point where severe

weather will occur. Severe weather can form rapidly in our

area, and our goal is to keep you updated as severe weather

threatens our community and will work close with the

National Weather Service to inform the community of severe

weather. Together, we can all make our community safer:)
